Beauly and Kilmorack Community Trust aims to support projects which will improve life for our community.
Our area is a wonderful place to live and people value its beauty and strong sense of community. Yet there is always room for improvement.
We will work with groups and individuals within the community to help attract funding to deliver better facilities and services for the benefit of people’s health and wellbeing.

Our Priorities
A community consultation carried out in 2024 showed the main priorities for the village are:
- a new school
- buildings for sports, recreation, a youth cafe and childminding/pre school facilities
- a better home for the men’s shed
- improvements to the path network and open spaces
We’ve established three working groups who will drive forward projects in the following areas:
- Community Buildings – both using existing buildings and developing new ones
- Outdoor Facilities including improvements to existing playparks and the MUGA, as well as new projects such as a skate park or community orchard
- Paths and Open Spaces – mapping what currently exists, identifying potential improvements and looking at new paths and open spaces, including opening up access to the river and supporting the community garden

Who We are
We are a group of volunteers who started this journey way back in 2019.
As a community council, we tried to purchase the public toilets in the village, refurbish them and use the money raised from users to fund projects in the village.
Despite strong support for the idea, we failed to attract funding because the community council isn’t allowed to receive large amounts of money, under their constitution. And so the idea was born to create a Community Trust.
Following discussion with Kilmorack Community Council we’ve extended the area we cover to include the Kilmorack CC area. This change to our boundary has now been accepted by the Scottish Charities Regulator OSCR.
